Abstract
We propose a cost-effective beyond-10G metro network architecture that extends the reach of optical interfaces on zero-dispersion DWDM transmission and reduces signal processing by multi-carrier aggregation. We verified its effectiveness in 4×10G signal transmission over 400 km by XFP modules.
