Abstract
One of the main problems in the performance of process industries in first order plus dead time (FOPDT) system is because the presence of time delay in the system which can lead to destabilization of the system. This paper briefly explains about comparative study of two specified optimal performance controller modelling techniques like Two-Point Method (TPM) and Sunderesan and Krishnaswamy Method (SKM) with couple of tuning techniques. In this paper we have chosen a real time Single Spherical Tank Liquid Level System (SSTLLS) for our investigation. This system is considered for study of various control algorithms based on Skogested Internal Model Control (SIMC) tuning method, Chein-Hrones-Reswick (CHR) Auto tuning method for the time delay system. These controllers are compared in terms of performance and time domain specification. This research paper provides simulation results for the controller modelling using the MATLAB.
