Abstract :
The paper analysed the structure of multimedia traffic. On the basis of the analysis modelling of network traffic processing program ns2 was carried out. We consider two special cases of queuing systems of the general form: P1/W/1 and P2/P3/1. The correlation properties of the generated program ns2 sequences of time intervals between packets and packet processing time interval have been studied. The study led to the conclusion that for a theoretical analysis of systems G/G/1 equation Lindley may be used. The simulation estimates were obtained for delay values in the queue for the two cases. Then the delay in line is assessed with the use of analytical apparatus queuing theory based on the solution of the equation Lindley spectral method.
