Abstract :
This paper presents a technique of frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna for S-band applications. The proposed antenna is using the DGS technique which uses three PIN diodes with three rectangular slots. These slot are cut in the ground to produces eight reconfigurable different frequency bands. The proposed antenna designed on FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant 4.1 and thickness 1.5mm. The simulation of the proposed work is conducted with CST. In the proposed design, radiation pattern and directivity at different frequencies are obtained. The simulated return loss is greater than 10 dB for all the bands at different frequencies.
