Abstract :
This paper presents a three sectored beam-switching antenna which consists of dual-polarized antennas and a reconfigurable power divider. The proposed dual-polarized antenna composed of two metallic dipole elements with a microstrip line as an excitation source. The three-way reconfigurable power divider is achieved by four switches to control the signal flow and the impedance matching network. The measurement results confirm that this dual polarized beam-switching antenna can support 2.3GHz to 2.7GHz frequency band with both pattern and polarization diversity capability.
