Abstract :
It is important to ensure the operational safety of the MCSG because The Metal clad switchgear plays a great role in ensuring the reliability of power supply. For that reason, many researchers develop various methods to diagnose its condition by using TEV, HFCT, Coupling capacitor, UHF. In spite of this effort, Unexpected MCSG failures continue to happen often resulting in catastrophic equipment damage. In this paper, four artificial insulation defect models were designed to generate UHF PD signals, which were installed in the 7.2kV MCSG and detected by a UHF antenna. For the classifying and analyzing the PD signal, an optimized algorithm was used in the MSCG diagnosis system. This work will be contributed to develop Advanced Diagnosis & preventive system for MCSG.
