Abstract :
We are developing multi-hop wireless LAN access points (APs) for a Community Information Network (CIN) to be deployed in Takanawa area, Minato City, Tokyo, Japan, to transfer information supporting citizens´ daily lives and to provide the internet access environment for both residents and tourists. This paper shows a prototype development of the AP device for the CIN made by the Raspberry Pi boards and performance evaluation of a multi-hop wireless LAN constructed by the prototype AP devices.
