Abstract
We report a simulator incorporating electron dynamics using multi-level multi-electron quantum system into Maxwell´s equation. The simulator includes Pauli exclusion principles, state filling, and dynamical Fermi-Dirac Thermalization for modeling electrons transition in between energy levels. Consequently, we can simulate active semiconductor nanostructures in real time with respect to various complex media. The simulator is a first for computational electromagnetics for modelling active nanophotonic devices because previous studies were unable to take into account the electron dynamic in the semiconductor media. We also report the full coupling of electro-optics phenomenal for high-speed modulation in silicon digital coherent communications.
