Abstract :
Grating-type and slit-type plasmonic band-pass filters are compared and discussed with attention to the difference between two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) structures. While the 2D grating-type filter yields a high transmissivity of 90%, the 3D filter results in a lower transmissivity of ≃ 20%. For the slit-type filters, a transmissivity of more than 90% can be obtained from both 2D and 3D structures.
