Abstract
This paper describes the groundbreaking reflector antenna technology, which has long been considered a mature technology. The purpose of this paper is to make a bridge between antenna parameters and mobile operator KPIs. This paper addresses challenges facing today´s mobile backhaul and the role of reflector antennas in overcoming these challenges. The importance of antennas in today´s and tomorrow backhaul cannot be ignored. Two case studies are presented, clearly demonstrating how mobile operators can increase available capacity-hence increasing their revenue; efficient use of spectrum and use of smaller antennas-hence reducing TCO and improving the quality of their transmission networks through the use of Sentinel´s innovative reflector antenna technology.
