Abstract :
In general, standard benchmark suites are critically important for researchers to quantitatively evaluate their new ideas and algorithms. This paper proposes a suite of benchmark programming assignments to evaluate student performance in early programming courses. Moreover, some future challenges involved in extending this suite to address advanced programming courses is also discussed.
