Abstract :
Imparting knowledge uniformly in a class is of a paramount importance in the assimilation of course content by a student. The performance level of a student may be elevated if the day-to-day study load is kept uniform. A lecture barchart is useful in maintaining the uniformity and in knowing the extent of preparedness of syllabus. The burden on a student at the time of final examination may be lowered by conducting intermittent tests to enable a student to understand and assimilate the subject better due to repeated reading. The teacher´s preparation, by reading several books other than the prescribed books and by referring to the expert lectures, plays a significant role in imparting knowledge with clarity and with a practical relevance. The dissemination of knowledge could be improved through visuals and animated figures. The various means to improve the quality of teaching and the receptiveness of a student are described in this paper.
