Abstract
Exponential β-splines have been used to build a Single Pulse for conductive targets in a library. To obtain a discrimination capability as high as possible with these functions, it is needed to find the values of the free parameters in the exponential β-splines that maximize the Discrimination Factor of the system. This process of optimization can be simplified using the new approach to build Single Pulses on exponential β-splines presented in this paper, which is different from the approach used in most of the bibliography.
