Abstract :
In 2004 the Sino-German University of Applied Sciences CDHAW at Tongji-University Shanghai was founded and started with three engineering study courses: Automotive Engineering, Building Service Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. Later on Industrial Engineering was added to the offered study courses. The binational Study Courses are structured in three years of study in Shanghai and the fourth year at one of the 26 German Universities of Applied Sciences belonging to the consortium. The students have 1.200 hours of German language course. German university teachers are coming to Shanghai to teach as flying faculty in the second and third year. The Mechatronics Engineering curriculum, the experiences and the results are presented in this paper.
