Abstract
In this paper, a novel UWB antenna is designed. The antenna exhibits a bandwidth of 9.64 GHz and has a gain of 1.83 dB at 3.5 GHz. Two such antennas are placed at a distance of 36 mm in order to observe strong mutual coupling. Three different methods are adopted for reducing the mutual coupling. Best results were obtained in case of tri-arm stub in which an isolation of more than 20 dB is obtained in the entire UWB range. All the analysis is done in HFSS 14.
