Abstract
High penetration of DERs in distribution network may change power flow characteristics of the interconnected transmission and distribution network. Therefore, power flow solver for the whole network is highly required. A flexible power flow solver for the interconnected transmission and distribution network is designed based on decomposition and coordination method. Two commercial software, PSASP and DIgSILENT are applied to solve power flow for transmission and distribution respectively. The coordinator is designed to be model-free and solved by Jacobian-Free Newton-GMRES(m) algorithm. The provided test results validate its good accuracy and convergence performance for unbalanced power flow solution.
