Abstract :
Applying the technology of mineral pipeline transportation can greatly reduce the cost of transporting. In the process of slurry transportation, we need to establish pressure pumping stations, which make the slurry have enough energy to reach the destination. Since most pumping stations are located in the remote mountainous areas, the central control room can not monitor its operating parameters. The cost of erecting communication lines is very high. To resolve this problem, the paper presents a monitoring system of Pumping Station based on GPRS and 2.4G wireless sensor networks. The system includes a data acquisition module, data processing module, GPRS communication module, 2.4G communication module, server and client. Each acquisition module is installed on each device to collect the operating parameters. Each data acquisition module uses the 2.4G wireless sensor networks to transmit data to the data processing module. Use the serial port to send data to the GPRS communication module then it uploads the data to the server. So clients can access to the server to monitor the operating date of pumping station.
