Abstract :
This paper introduces a novel non-linear processing technique for reducing the dimensions of a data set without performing hard thresholding while maintaining the detector performance as applied to the original large data set. In particular, the introduced processing technique can be utilized in spatial beamforming, high-range resolution processing, and other scenarios wherein high resolution data must be compressed/compacted to accommodate a lower resolution display and/or processing system.
