Abstract
The changing loading force has an inevitable influence on the tracking accuracy of the linear motor servo system, which can be indicated by the Servo Dynamic Stiffness (SDS). However, there is no single clear definition of the SDS that can be accepted by all scholars. Thus, to facilitate the further study of the SDS and prevent the conceptual conflict, this paper proposes to make a clear distinction between the two most adopted definitions of the SDS from the perspectives of numerical definitions, influence factors, and practical test.
