  • Abstract
Summary form only given. The complete presentation was not made available for publication as part of the conference proceedings. The end of Moore´s Law is expected to be near and not a few companies drop their semiconductor business. Those are the big challenges the semiconductor society is experiencing now. Asian countries are still trying to continue their semiconductor industries but it is difficult to tell the future of semiconductor technology. In this panel, we will discuss how to continue the technical innovation as Moore´s law has been doing to the semiconductor technology and business including material, manufacturing equipment, foundry, CAD and design houses. Can we establish the international joint research institute among Asian countries to find the new solutions in semiconductor technology? How to encourage the young Asian engineers to major in the semiconductor? Is there any good ways to build new semiconductor start-up companies in Asia? Does Asian semiconductor have any future other than American and European examples?
