Abstract :
In the control and monitoring pain area, there were evidence taken from the specialized literature for the effectiveness of monitoring the electrical resistance of the skin, as a tool for quantifying regional anesthesia. This study aimed to correlate the electrical resistance values measured at the electrode contact - human tissue level, while applying a direct current, with the change processes of the human tissue, in terms of anatomy and physiology, in the convalescence and recovery phases of the patient with orthopedic pathology. In the first phase, the focus was on the evolution of electrical resistance obtained, at the affected leg, before and after spinal anesthesia and then in the second part, on the evolution of the electrical resistance during recovery. Following the information obtained, was determined a variation curve of the electrode contact resistance-human tissue which allows an analytical approximation and defines an expression that can link the two parameters.
