Abstract :
Recently, fuel cells prevail around the world. A fuel cell emulator is needed when we design a power converter system including fuel cells. This paper proposes new emulator which consists of two types of electrical models called Model A and Model B. The Model A represents the DC voltage component of steady-state characteristics of voltage versus DC current, and the Model B represents internal impedance characteristics. The construction method of the emulator using the electrical model is proposed in this paper. The output voltage waveforms of fuel cell and its electrical model constructed by the proposed method are compared in the case of using power conversion system.
