Abstract
This paper presents the results of research about ground station picosatellites monitoring, this is part of the project "Design and implementation of a ground station for satellite LEO (Low Earth Orbit)" that develops at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC acronym of spanish) by INFELCOM and TICA research groups. This article presents a framework and the results about this investigation. The main objective is assembling and commissioning a ground station to tracking close orbit satellites, ruled by national and international standards and guidelines regarding the use of the electromagnetic spectrum for use in radio, based on best practices communication to ensure that the communications system in place does not interfere with other types of radio of higher priority than the one developed in this project.
