Abstract :
The method of harmonic current detection is one of the key to the active power filter. According to the load current´s characteristics of the strongly periodicity and repeatability. The adaptive LMS algorithm is used for the adaptive filtering basis on active power filter. This paper researched the adaptive of fixed step size LMS algorithm and the adaptive of embed low pass filter fixed step size LMS algorithm for harmonic current detection. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods. Designing the parameter of the low pass filter for decreasing the total current distortion rate and increasing the stability of the system. The algorithm with the relationship between the error feedback signal and the input signal to iterate, that the mean square error to minimum. The simulation results proved the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm.
