Abstract :
In this paper, the concept of algebraic accuracy of zero-crossing based edge detector is proposed. Combined with the optimal criteria for zero-crossing based edge detector, a high-accuracy edge detector for step edges is given. Based on this, some Laplacian operator based masks are given. For extracting the edges objectively, an unsupervised selection strategy of the threshold is introduced. Finally, the validity of the high-accuracy edge detector is shown by some experiments.
