Abstract
A six-port network based on coplanar waveguide (CPW) interdigitated structures is proposed and presented. Among these six ports, two are isolated ports and two are coupled ports. The left two contain an input port and a direct port. In this paper, the network is designed for dividing the power equally between the two coupled ports and the direct port, namely about 4.8 dB. The return loss is better than 22 dB and the isolation is better than 21 dB from 2 to 6 GHz according to the simulated results. The agreement between simulated and measured results is found for the proposed six-port network. To the best knowledge of the authors, this is the first time to put forward a six-port interdigitated coupled network with all ports in the same plane, which is used as a three-way power divider.
