Abstract
Summary form only given. The expressed need for the foundation of a meta-science of technology arises from the identified lack of an integration-oriented discipline dealing with technology. Technology management (TM) can serve as the technology-oriented leadership science. This article addresses the microlevel perspective on technology management. In the first section of the article, different perspectives on technology management are highlighted. In the article´s second section, the authors present a new model on technology management. It distinguishes itself by identifying TM as a central decision criteria and thereby consistency assurance tool to be used throughout the organization
