Abstract

This paper tackles information-mining issues for technology management applications. It focuses on a realistic technology management domain-advanced materials for use in automotive applications (of concern to the Army to develop future military vehicles). The authors perform searches on the same topic in two R&D publication abstract databases-EI Compendex (Engineering Index) and INSPEC. These databases provide useful descriptors to help categorize issues concerning lightweight materials
