Article recommendation system based on keyword using map-reduce

With the increase in the size of the articles, the problem of article recommendation does not remain a simple problem of keyword matching. Keyword matching over the large sized articles becomes infeasible. In this paper, we have considered the problem of article recommendation as a big data problem and approached with the tools for big data at disposal for tackling large datasets. In this work large size articles are considered. Due to the large sizes of articles, the task of recommendation over these large articles is broken into smaller sub tasks and the results of these sub tasks are combined back to give the final result.
