Summary form only given. In September 2000, NTT DoCoMo signed a strategic alliance with AOL when NTT DoCoMo was looking to grow outside the Japanese market. This paper studies the NTT DoCoMo as a company, its core and embedded technology, other wireless technologies in the US, and challenges that NTT DoCoMo has to face in the US market.
