Abstract
Trust is central to any commercial transaction. As with traditional commerce, e-commerce requires trust across the whole spectrum of users and providers of services and goods. It is an Internet application that runs on an infrastructure composed of computers, software and communication systems and uses the Internet´s key infrastructure applications. Developing new kinds of commercial activities in the Cyberspace hinges on assuring consumers and businesses that their use of network services is secure and reliable, that their transactions are safe, and that they will be able to verify information about transactions and transacting parties. The purpose of this study is two fold. The first is to determine, the business value of Internet. The second is to discuss trust and confidence issues in cyberspace
