  • Abstract
In this paper, a new modified hypothesis is proposed for developing the technology transfer model. First, a generalised model for technology growth is developed. Second, a generalised model. for technology transfer is developed. Then, based on the generalised model, a specific dynamic mathematical model for technology transfer is developed incorporating a certain function governing the technology transfer. The model can be used as a decision making tool for measuring the technology transfer potentials at the industrial level. The model will provide some guidelines to the decision-maker on the receiving side in respect of the identification of a proper source. By comparing its own capability with those of the potential sources, the recipient can choose the optimal partner for transferring technology to the selected industry and can thus utilise the available resources in the best possible way. This will help the recipient to assimilate the technology effectively and will further help to increase its technological capability, which in turn will increase its bargaining power in acquiring technology
