Abstract
Summary form only given. This study develops a framework for global e-business through knowledge sharing by analyzing resource-based theory, reviewing the literature in the fields of IT and international business, and a cross focus group analysis of focus group discussions in four different companies from various industries. The research results suggest that global e-business can be considered as a series of collaborative processes which are supported by the company IT infrastructure, Internet and knowledge management tools. Utilization of these IT tools by investigated companies has facilitated worldwide collaboration among enterprises´ employees, suppliers, partners, customers, experts, and other stakeholders; and reduced the barriers of geographical distance, culture and time
