Abstract
This paper presents a comparative study of two control methods for a system comprising a dc source fed power to load via an LC input filter and a boost converter: indirect sliding mode control and flatness based control. Using indirect sliding-mode, the instabilities can be occurred. An active stabilizer is embedded in the system to extend the stability domain. However, with the proposed flatness based control these instabilities can be avoided. Simulation and experimental results are presented to validate the proposed control methods.
