Abstract
This paper presents case studies in which power electronics teaching is promoted by engineering projects. Those projects have interdisciplinary character. We present those case studies in four situations: a) power electronics teaching as an isolated course; b) interdisciplinary project involving two subjects; c) integration project along the engineering program; c) interdisciplinary project along with other engineering programs. The results we have collected show us that interdisciplinary projects are more effective in the sense of learning for the students. Besides, it has a very important contribution on the motivation of the students to keep going with their studies.
