Abstract :
In order to improve the total throughput of terminals by avoiding data frame collisions over wireless LAN, SP-MAC based on the synchronization phenomena of coupled oscillators for the media access control (MAC) has been proposed. Furthermore, previous studies showed that the buffer overflow occurs frequently in Access Point (AP) when there are bidirectional flows generated by the SP-MAC terminals. Thus, we have proposed a priority control method for AP based on SP-MAC to solve the problem. In general, the network control including the priority control are desirable to operate according to the current network environment. However, the control method shown in previous studies has used fixed control parameters regardless of variation of network environment. Thus, this paper proposes an adaptive control parameter setting method for the priority control according to the network environment. Then, we evaluate performance and characteristics of the proposed method and show its effectiveness.
