Abstract
In this paper a sensorless control method is presented for a matrix converter-fed synchronous reluctance motor. The method includes low speed and standstill operating regions. The fields of application are aerospace actuators where sensorless control augments the reliability of the drive, and robustness towards harsh ambient temperatures. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the presented method.
