Abstract
The simple method for designing the taper profile of tapered slot antenna (TSA) which is based on the multi-section quarter-wave binomial impedance transformer is presented. This transformer can use to design taper profile that does not involve using time consuming optimization. By using this design procedure, the wideband microstrip-to-slotline feed has been designed. To demonstrate the validity of the method, the simulated and measured results of TSA in the frequency range from 3 - 11 GHz are proposed. The results show good agreement between simulation and measurement.
