Abstract
Ten repetitive straight drive cricket batting by an amateur batter was recorded in the bat mounted inertial sensors. The sensor recorded centripetal acceleration profiles were tried to match with the profiles obtained by pendulum dynamics imposing the initial and final conditions. During the matching techniques the radius of rotation was varied to obtained high correlation between the two profiles. Then the drives were assessed by the radius of rotation profiles while got satisfactory matching. However, the damping constant for the pendulum dynamics for the drives was chosen constant as the same batter did the straight drives. This research is aimed to incorporate the mathematics in straight drive cricket batting that is still untouched in the literature.
