Abstract :
With the profusion of the Linked Open Data, background knowledge base is playing an increasingly important role. For example, it can provide a basis for ontology alignment, but the background knowledge base is insufficient in metallic materials domain. However, a large amount of metallic materials knowledge exists in Yago, which can provide knowledge structure for background knowledge base. In this paper, we propose an approach to map the metallic materials knowledge extracted from Yago to the background knowledge base with the help of Wordnet. Meanwhile, some experiments are designed to demonstrate that our approach is effectively and feasible, and the time performance of our approach is acceptable.
