Abstract
There are many proposals for super resolution (SR) technologies, the most common ones being SR image reconstruction, example-based SR, and extensions of SR technologies. In these methods a high-resolution image (HRI) is used as a starting point. Low-resolution images (LRIs) are created from the HRI, which is then reconstructed from the LRIs. However, the LRIs are not created within the condition of the Nyquist sampling theory and they show aliasing. The LRIs can be improved merely by reducing the aliasing. In this study, the relation between the HRI and LRIs and the aliasing issues of SR are discussed in terms of the frequency domain. A solution for the issue is also proposed.
