Abstract
The Utgrunden Wind Park is a demonstration project for Enron Wind showing the capability for full scale offshore wind power projects in Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain. The park uses seven EW 1.5s turbines on a rammed monopile creating, in total, a 10 MW offshore park. The project uses intelligent megawatt variable speed machines under offshore conditions similar to full-scale projects to be built in 2002-2003 in Denmark. The wind park is using an innovative foundation technology and O&M strategy.
