Abstract
This paper evaluates detuning in steady-state operation, caused by iron loss, in the MRAC based sensorless rotor flux oriented induction machine. It is shown that typical speed estimation error in the base speed region, purely due to iron loss, is 2 to 3 rpm for a 4 kW, four-pole, 50 Hz machine
