  • Abstract
    In order to find out an accurate and efficient way to predict the performance of synchronous generators with simultaneous AC and DC stator connections, two different models, multi-loop model and multi-loop FEM model, are described in this paper. As comparison and verification, the calculated results by these two models are compared with those of experiments. The multi-loop FEM model is more accurate than the multi-loop model under various conditions, but it is more time-consuming
