  • Abstract
    The harmonics and transformer losses in the excitation system of the Sanxia generator is analyzed in this paper. The analytical method is used to calculate characteristic harmonics current of the excitation system. Through the computer simulation, uncharacteristic harmonics in the current of the excitation system under the asymmetric condition are analyzed. Harmonics of the excitation system will produce harmonic eddy current losses in the excitation transformer, so a calculation method of winding eddy current losses is presented and the truncated error of harmonics losses is analyzed theoretically. The calculation of the harmonics and its losses in the excitation transformer is carried out, which provides the analyzed data for the excitation transformer of Sanxia generator
