  • Abstract
Germanium dioxide (GeO2) is a very important material in the semiconductor industry. There are several methods to synthesize and fabricate different semiconductor materials. In our research, Germanium dioxide nanoparticles were synthesized in the laboratory by using new technique. The nanoparticles of GeO2 were synthesized by using microbes like bacteria. Microbes like bacteria play an important role to catalyst chemical reactions. Microbial environment can also be instrumental in forming germanium dioxide nanoparticles. Chemical reactions occur under microbial environment because microbes possess the ability to control or modify different factors like pH, chemical potential and temperature during reactions. In this paper, synthesis of germanium dioxide (GeO2) using germanium and oxygen under microbial environment in the laboratory was used to produce the required material. XRD technique is used to confirm the formation of germanium dioxide.
