Abstract
Vehicular Networks relies on repetitive data exchange among vehicles and vehicles to Road Side Units to facilitate road safety, route planning, etc. Vehicles contributing to the vehicular network can be considered as nodes serving messages or entities to a single server. Taking into consideration this fact, an analytical model for a single vehicle within VANETs is proposed in this paper. The model provides an insight of the behavioral and statistical properties of the network. The simulation results for different properties of the network model are derived by simulating the network using MATLAB Simulink.
