Abstract :
This paper proposes an optimum signal processing method for hybrid phased multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) (HPMSAR) that can achieve different tasks on the same platform. The method is optimal because it is a combination of multichannel pre-filter technology and two-dimension (2-D) advanced digital beamforming (DBF) technology for high-resolution wide-swath (HRWS) SAR. At first, we describe the principle of HPMSAR system. Furthermore, the pre-filter design is presented by using matrix inversion method. Then, we propose the advanced linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) method applied to 2-D DBF. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
