Abstract
We present the recent activity of instrumentation in the Academia Sinica, Institute of Astronomy & Astrophysics (ASIAA). In particular, two telescope projects are described. Both projects involve building radio interferometric arrays for astronomical observation, with operational frequency spanning the range of 100 GHz to 1 THz. Instrumentation at such high frequency bands requires forefront technology and techniques in signal detection and processing. Thus, interdisciplinary collaborations among science and engineering departments are necessary to realize such complicated projects. In the paper, the author address the interaction among various research institutes and local industries during the development and construction phase of the projects.
