Abstract :
In this paper, we study colocated multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radar in the context of sparse modeling for estimating the unkown target parameters (direction of arrival (DOA), amplitude). Inspired by the idea of restricted isometry property (RIP) and Gram matrix, a two stage method to adaptively design the weight matrix and the sensing matrix that can improve DOA estimation performance at the receiver is proposed. We use numerical simulations to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
